The interior design team at inD’finity Design were met with the unique challenge of designing a residential Semi-D space as they took on the project for channelling the dynamic theme of ‘Simplicity and Harmony of Old and New’.

As a contemporary interpretation of traditional Eastern design elements, this residential project in Puchong, Selangor showcases a harmonious blend of minimalistic and clean designs of modern standards, as well as intricate floral motifs and geometric construction of timeless luxury and sophistication. The use of warm neutrals with saturated tones of red, black, and gold, adds to the stunning pictorial that is this project. The traditional and the contemporary form a dynamic pairing in this residential Semi - D project, creating a one-of-a-kind stylistic theme and visual. As one of the prime spots of the project, the sitting room is intricately curated with tasteful oriental decor and contrasted accent walls. The sitting room, heightened with its abundance of natural lighting and ventilation, features a predominantly white palette, with a darker line accent. Along with a combination of curved and linear lines to bring out the exclusivity of the design the use of natural materials such as paper paintings and natural wood creates an unforgettable visual extravagance for visitors in the sitting room. The sitting room also opens to a backlit display area for contemporary marble decor, indoor plants, and more.

In addition to comfortable couches and a glass coffee table, the sitting room features indoor vegetation for a refreshing green palette, and contemporary partitions to separate the sitting room from the dining space.

The kitchen cum dining space boasts muted shades with mood lighting, spacious overhead shelves, and modern amenities to assist the 21st-century living. The dining area offers a magnificent countertop and cupboards with wooden panelling. But the centre of attraction at the dining space is the landscape painting with the showstopper being the ‘shan shui hua’. The master bedroom is also a head-turner, majorly keeping up with the simple, yet luxurious aesthetic of the project. The muted colour tones, and textured accent walls, with a combination of linear and curved lines to enhance the layering of space, help in promoting relaxation and peace. The Semi - D residential project also features a curated rock garden done up with orchids and bonsai, making it the perfect sanctuary for mindful living and peace. The oriental landscape also allows the residents to transcend time, representing the peaceful heritage and traditional richness of China.
